TRIP TO UTAH

Brian and I took a weekend ski trip to Utah with the Dardanos and Shumways- sans kids. We were able to stay in my parents' cabin at Sundance and it was perfect- the weather was great and the skiing/snowboarding was so fun...the company wasn't too shabby either! Thanks to mom and dad for letting us take over the place for the weekend. We hit up Cafe Rio, of course, as well as my old fave, The Pizza Factory. We were even able to squeeze in some family time- my brother Beau and his roommate met us up for a little skiing and then dinner on Friday. All in all, it was a win-win (that ones for you, Dad!) because our kids had so much fun at their Nana and Papa's- they weren't really interested in coming home after we showed up. We can't wait to do it again...

a cool 80 degrees ...

We went exploring after church on Sunday...it was such a beautiful day here. The girls loved every minute of their adventure and could have spent all day throwing rocks in the stream and running up to the top of this big hill and back...they thought they were "at the top of the world"- think big kids, think big....

Pumas are # 1!

We won our division championship on Monday night. This past season has been so much fun and I can hardly wait to start all over again on Monday night. I know this isn't the best picture- but you get the idea- its such a fun group of girls and our weekly soccer games are certainly something to look forward to.

A Quick Trip to Houston

We visited our good friends, the Robinsons, this past weekend in their new home near Houston, TX. We had a great time- we both have girls about the same age so they have a blast playing with one another. Brian's birthday was on Sunday so we celebrated a little bit then, but on Friday night, I took him on a date (planned by me) and gave him a Nintendo Wii- I think he was a bit shocked- I don't know if it was because I got it for him or if it was that I was actually able to find one. Either way- its been fun. This first picture is of Taylor at a playground by the Robinsons and the next is of their daugther, Chayse, chilling at a tea party.

some cute pics ...

Brian has turned into an avid photographer lately and so these pics are all compliments of him. Rachel wishes she were half as talented (and half as creative). Thanks to Taylor and Kate for being so patient and photogenic. And, thanks to Rachel for allowing her hubby to entirely take over our family blog. Any less-than-worthy pictures posted in the future are compliments of yours truly.

Time for a Little DDR

Yep, its taking over. DDR is one of our new favorite games- its seriously fun, and can be pretty addicting. Our good friends, the Shumways, just got the game so our nights usually end with a little friendly competition. You can feel the intensity just looking at this picture. Amy usually kills all of us, but its still fun to try. Maury (Povich) tries to throw his sweet Latin moves in there with his footwork, but forgets that you don't get extra points for swaying your hips like Shakira. Too bad.

On another note, we've also taken up a "small" interest in Guitar Hero- an equally fun and addicting game. Don't worry- we have dedicated ourselves to reading the scriptures for equally as long as we play both games. :)

Our kids usually get somewhat neglected as their parents are called to a little DDR competition- hence, the picture of Taylor. This is how we found her, in between rounds. Completely in the buff, but then again, so was her baby.
